Call for Applications: Scientific Communication Co-Coordinator

Dear COST Action CliMent Members,

We are seeking a Scientific Communication Co-Coordinator to join our team and help strengthen our outreach, visibility, and dissemination efforts. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about science communication within our ACTION.

Role & Responsibilities

The Science Communication Co-Coordinator will work closely with the Science Communication Coordinator and the Core Group to:

✔ Enhance the visibility of our ACTION through newsletters, social media, and outreach
activities. Responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the management of the LinkedIn account and posting updates.
  • Creating and managing social media content to engage the targeted audiences and stakeholders.
  • Ensuring regular updates on the Action’s website (route updates, announcements).
  • Preparing dissemination materials for news and research updates.

✔ Attend training sessions at the COST Office (once every one to two months) to advance the dissemination of the Action and improve communication strategies.

✔ Support communication of research outputs to academic, policy, and public audiences.

✔ Coordinate with Working Groups to ensure the alignment of communication strategies with the Action’s objectives.

Time Commitment

📅 The estimated time commitment for this role is 3.5 to 4 hours per week. The workload may vary depending on upcoming dissemination activities and key Action milestones.

Who Should Apply?

We welcome applications from members who:

  • Have attended or are registered to attend a COST Academy Leadership Workshop (preferable but not required).
  • Have previous experience as a Science Communication Coordinator in a COST Action or another research project (preferable but not required).
  • Have experience (or a strong interest) in digital engagement, strategic communication, and outreach or related skills.
  • Have strong organizational, knowledge management and collaboration skills and can dedicate time to support communication efforts.
