From 22–28 May 2025, Prof. Gordana Ristevska Dimitrovska conducted a Short-Term Scientific Mission (STSM), under the COST Action CA23113 on “Climate Change Impacts on Mental Health in Europe” (CliMent).
During her visit to the International Hellenic University (IHU) in Thessaloniki, she contributed to the development of an umbrella review that will focus on behavioural change interventions (BCI) to promote climate action (CA), as a way to enhance resilience and adaptation to climate-induced mental health challenges. This work directly supports Deliverable D3.1 of the CliMent Action.
Highlights of the mission included:
- Systematic screening of retrieved articles that tackle BCIs for CA.
- Collaboration with COST CliMent Working Group 3 members on: organization of work, design of screening process, and research synthesis.
- Participation in ERASMUS+ Staff Mobility Week workshops on AI in education, quality assurance, and innovative teaching methods.
The mission not only advanced the research objectives of the CliMent Action but also fostered valuable academic networking and future project opportunities across Europe (within the Horizon and other funding schemes), tackling different mental health perspectives.
We look forward to sharing the results of the umbrella review via practitioner summary that will be largely based on our scientific output (WG3 – D3.2) and further contributing to the development of evidence-based strategies that protect mental health in the face of climate change.
