WG1 focuses on identifying key sociodemographic and health-related factors that influence mental health responses to climate change. Additionally, it aims to develop and validate reliable quantitative tools for measuring the psychological effects of climate change on individuals and communities.
WG2. The adaptive strategies & treatment possibilities for affected groups and individuals
WG2 is dedicated to analyzing, prioritizing, and promoting adaptive strategies and treatment options for individuals and groups experiencing the direct and indirect mental health consequences of climate change. This working group takes a multidisciplinary approach to identifying effective interventions, best practices, and regional strategies that contribute to global efforts in addressing and mitigating the psychological effects of climate change.
WG3. Short-term goals of community of practice: shifting societal behaviour
WG3 focuses on identifying and promoting community-driven, short-term strategies that encourage behavioral shifts toward climate action. By analyzing key stakeholders, effective interventions, and best practices, this group seeks to provide a comprehensive framework for fostering immediate, actionable solutions that contribute to global climate mitigation efforts.
WG4. Long-term strategies of community of practice: enabling sustainability
WG4 is committed to developing systemic, policy-oriented strategies that support long-term sustainability and pro-environmental behavior. This group explores the intersection of mental health and sustainability, focusing on policy development, advocacy at various levels (national, regional, and international), and training programs for both current and future practitioners. By incorporating diverse perspectives and expertise, WG4 ensures an inclusive, forward-thinking approach to long-term climate and mental health solutions.
